I'm taking my fear out on Teru, I've been very nasty and emotionaly unstable and there is no way I can make up for it.
I'm really scared now, people keep on saying it's a big bad world out there (and I wish they wouldn't), and I know next to nobody who could help me, I could contact as many people as I like regarding flat shares and it wouldn't make any diference, I couldn't visit them untill I'm already there and by that time I'd need somewere to stay.
This is too much stress I feel really down.

The world is not so big anymore. And it's not that bad either (unless you're on Dubya's Must Invade List that is).
This is the stuff I wanted you to share with me, sweetheart. A shared burden is lighter.
I love you

Just passing by. forgive the intrusion please.
You know DoctorMO I was were you are now, hum,,, some 5 times if remember. (looking for some place to live when starting a new job.) twice in London I think.
the most successful way I found to getting good accommodation for a week or five, was having a word with the local vicar.
Ok it was back in the middle 80's and I worked in hospitals but it might still be worth a look in to. good luck with the new job.

Ah, well as an athist I dout that would go down too well.
I'm looking at the YHA but it looks messy and involved. but I will.
I'm also aranging times to view places too, asuming I have somewere to stay, it should be ok.

the first time he pointed me to a little, out of the way bed and breakfast run by two of his flock, stayed the for a week..
the second time I was sent to a home that had a spare bedroom as son was away at uni, stayed there for 4-5 weeks.

hi
Did you try 'ask h2g2' to find an accomodation (with as much information in the subject line as possible, like place and date and maybe even prize you can pay)? If nobody reacts at first, post to it again yourself so it gets back to the first page. Also ask for hints about where else you could look / where else you could post etc.
Maybe also post it under 'How do I?' ?
And put it in your username (that you're looking for a place and where and from when on)?

It's not that big and it's not that bad. You're not gonna be homeless. Things'll be weird and scary for the first couple of weeks but you're making a big move! You've got far more brains than a lot of people I know who've moved down to London, and you're a nice guy to boot. You'll be fine.
If you're really worried, you can always kip on my couch in Milton Keynes and commute - peak rate train fare in the mornings but cheaper than a B&B in London. Till you get yourself sorted. It's a shared house and nobody will mind an extra body in one of the showers in the morning Serious offer, if you're that stuck, you're more than welcome at mine

If only it wasn't 69km away. unless there are relitivly cheap trains that go to clappm or near by. I bet it even takes a while on the train.
Thank you very much for your offer, I'll let you know if nothing else turns up.
