h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well today has been interesting, first of all this new weel I put on my bike is a bit shit, the innertube poped out, rubbed against the breaks and went down faster than a large rock. So I had no choice I had to walk the 5 miles down town to get it fixed, but it was Thursaday and Linkers are shut. so I stomped off the Geddies were you never gues what they only happened to be filming. Not that I cared, only it was right in front of the shop, I manged to get in eventualy after meeting the police, droped the bike off after telling the guy in the shop what needed doing.

So I stomp back off, go to find a bus stop I say to myself, get to work an hour late. So I wander around and because they've just gone and remoddled the town and the bus routs it takes me an hour to find a bus stop going the right way. *sigh*

So in work, I explain that the bike is in a bit of a state, and I needed to get it fixed. they were cool about it. work got under way with a totaly fustraiting new platform which involves GNU tools we can't plug into more GNU tools (the IDE) so I gota learn how to do console debuging and compiling in windows under a bash shell. lovly. not only that the dev kit is really quite crap and I must write an interface for it before I can begin my port.

So I got stuck alot and sort some entertainment, the post was a good bet today. brilliant work guys! but the postmaster forums were very slow, they have been like that alot these days.

Some good news, I now know the dates when Teru is over to visit, so I'll hopefully have my first real holiday week. YaY. and things are looking up.

Work finsihes, I convince my bos to drive me to the bike shop so that I may pick up my bike ready for tomorow, it was only shut because of the filming. so I had to trudge home after telling my bos I'd be fine round the corner, got some food on the way home and though up a rather nice Linux System.

yea, well I can't see how, I'm sick with some bug. sore thoat and achy feeling everwere.

picked up the bike, £60 thank you. ok so it runs like a dream. but I wish it did that anyway.

Yowch. Hopefully it wont need more repairs for a while.

Sorry you're feeling ill , take some zinc tablets, they help your immune system.

thats probably why , you take zinc and then stop.. Owchy.

Just had lunch, hard to swallow. hard to move, I could swear a slice of my brain was loped off, or at least it feels that way.

Me? Feeling pretty good. Broke, but only temporarily. End of school for my little darlings, so celebratory pizzas tonight, then the Rose of Tralee Ball tomorrow night, which is a good excuse to get dolled up to the nines . Off work on Monday cos it's the Grand Duke's birthday (i.e a national holiday)

Get along to Boots and buy some Strepsils Zinc Defence - they'll help your sore throat as well.

if boots are garteed to be shut can I go to Kwik save and pick up some regular zinc tabs?
