A Mighty King died.
Who?, When?, How?.
This person was born. She was the first.
Who?, What?, When?.
A youngster won his first race.
Who?, Where?, When?.
Something was launched.
What?, Where?, When?.
No Google or Wiki.
Yes, there are quite a few klaxons, so be careful, and think outside the box!!!
Good Luck!

King Henry VIII? Alexander the Great?
1066?
Was Mother Theresa born? The first woman to get a Nobel?
Was the race the space race? The first country to get a spaceship out there? Or the first man to walk on the moon?
Was it a boat that was launched? The Titanic?
I will come back with a few more ideas when I've eaten something...

>>This person was born. She was the first.<<
Could it be Amandine, the first in-vitro baby? That would have been 1982, I think. They mentioned it on the news yesterday. And the Where would be France, I believe.
I've no idea about the others, but I'll risk a saying the thing that was launched might be a rocket of some kind?
Also, may I ask, have you sorted them chronologically?

Ouch!
1. Are we looking for an actual king, that is, a man with a crown on his head? Or someone called king, or a lion king or something?
"Mighty king" brings to mind Charlemagne, Charles the Great, but he was crowned in 800, so I do NOT* think he could have died between 1200 and 1970.
* So, please don't me on this one.
2. We are looking for a woman, though, right? An actual, human, female? Is she still alive?
3. Is the youngster a person, or could it be a young horse / hound / pigeon? Is it even a living thing?
4. I'll have to look "launch" in my dictionary, for the exact meaning.
Bye for now, and please don't find all the answers before tomorrow.

Hmmm. Let me think. Was he a King? In a way, yes he was, but he was never crowned as such....
I will let you off with Charlemagne!
Yes, she was a woman. No, she is long, long dead!
I will give you a +1 for a person!

ok ok, I thought it would be fun, and it was...
Outside the box? A great king dies? Is that a shakespearian king?
Or is it Aragorn? or Isildor? Who was killed by bandits after the One ring betrayed him...18/8/second age?
Are they all real people from history or fictional?

*wipes forehead* Thanks!
- Ah. More a king like "The King Of Something-or-other"? Or really a King, but one that wasn't crowned (for some reason)?
- Lucy the Australopithecus? OK, there's no way to know on what day she was born, but maybe she was unearthed on a 18th August? And she is often considered to be our first ancestor.
There's a coming now, isn't there?

Martin Luthor King, he was mighty. I believe he was shot. (assassinated by the American Government if you believe in conspiracy theories)
