What in the natural world has bright green stripes; no collective noun upon which biologists can agree, in spite of being seen moving in large groups; can move at up to 1 metre per second and - if you could capture one - would have more heat energy than a lit match?
Google or Wikipedia are forbidden.
There are klaxons, naturally, so be bold, preferably interesting but never obvious.

Perhaps biologists can't agree on it because it's not a job for biologists?
And is the "heat energy" because the fast motion would be transformed from kinetic to heat energy if it were suddenly stopped, that is, "captured"?
(I know that with your QIs, one has to have a nasty suspicious mind!)
