One of these may be obscure to those not sharing one of my passions (luckily, said passion is linked to on my PS).
BOWYER PICKED WHITE PEDAL
SHARROCK BRAKE FROBISHER McCARROLL
STARKEY SMITH CART FLETCHER
CUFF WIPER FAN CLUTCH

Would I be way off to venture: Authors, car parts and footballers?
And could I suggest the car parts might be four of the following:
Pedal, Brake, Wiper, Fan, Clutch.
I suspect Brake is NOT a car part for the purpose of this list.
Other than that, I'm done for the minute...

I see everyone wants to play this game then?

I'm pretty sure two categories are drummers (Starkey, Sharrock) and Leeds Utd footballers (Bowyer, Smith), but somebody else will need to work out the fine detail.

OK, how about this:
Starkey, Sharrock, McCarroll and White are all drummers (with Oasis, I believe?)
Picked, Cuff, Cart and Brake are all preceded by 'Hand'
The other eight are still puzzling me.

Oasis Drummers are correct.
Hand- is correct.
Robyn's come close to a category somewhere too.

BOWYER PEDAL
FROBISHER
SMITH FLETCHER
WIPER FAN CLUTCH
So Fan, Clutch, Pedal, Wiper are all car parts.
That leaves me with Bowyer, Fletcher, Smith, Frobisher. They sound pretty much like medieval professions or somesuch.

Have we identified the passion linked to the PS yet?
Are those last 4 all copywriting terms?
QI: Psyc's Only Connect Grid
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Sep 10, 2009
B's close to the final 4
The passion one was the Oasis drummers - I was hoping Mu Beta would pick up on Smith and Bowyer and go for Leeds. I wasn't disappointed.

Any ideas on what links the last 4?
Those occupations, huh? What're they good for?
