In what way is the rest of the human race closer to garden peas than it is to Alfred Hitchcock?

Hmm..peas in a pod and The Birds spring to mind, as a starter.

peas and the rest of the human race don't have cameos in their own films!

I think I know this.
Is this relevant to bellybuttons?

Mu Beta Posted Jan 14, 2009
Peas have a bellybutton! They use it to extract nutrients from the pod in a very umbilical-cord sort of arrangement.
Alfred Hitchcock did not have a bellybutton. It was excised during (I believe) an emergency appendectomy when he was a young man.

Absolutely correct.
The points go to h2g2's navel attaché. (I'll give you a bonus if you link to your blu-tac thread...)
Please add any other relevant interesting facts, and I'll score it tomorrow!

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned BirdsEye Frozen Peas.
Weren't they the original? The whole freezing process was started by Clarence Birdseye in 1910/1920 - I think the first item was frozen fish.

GB mentioned Birdseye in her Entry on Garden Peas, at A6257865.
