heheh. Ahhh Buffy.
Actually, you know what?? I've heard of her, of course, but I never saw Buffy before, or even heard these songs, so now I'm a fan. Never too late, eh? heheh. All your fault, Peanut my friend. Thanks!

Today I am feeling a bit nostalgic because of a sofa, our clic-clac sofa bed downstairs in front room.
It has to go, it has held together well with duct tape and some welding, but is rickitty, the mattress is nothing, replacing it is not an option and our needs have changed.
So goodbye clic-clac sofa.
It is funny the attachment you have to some things, this sofa has been with us a long time, seen kids through their school lives and beyond and how it is part of our shared memories.
Everyone has said 'oh no, not the clic-clac' sofa when I told of the plans, not in resisting way, just an aww, like a beloved first car.
It also entails the sorting off another clutter pile but I am getting better at it and quicker.
Anyway that is my second nearly done, I wanted this my final sit down on my trusty old sofa, a fitting goodbye

Cor blimey, that was hard work, it took some huffing and puffing dismantling and it was awkward as much as anything. Then the mess and the clutter pile.
I had most of the sofa in the car by the time I had to go out, some of the mess swept up.
Got home hot and tired. Made a casserole put on low. Then decluttered, at this point I thought I might cry, my head hurt and had had enough. Steam mopped, moved other sofa, swept up and steam mopped again. Cleaned down kitchen sides.
Faced down the final clutter bits. Rubbish out. Packed up my stuff to bring here (my Mums, who is away) plus a couple of laundry loads. Hoovered.
Got here unpacked, jama bottoms on and slippers on. Phew. Chill. You have done it.
Am shocked and dismayed to discover that Mother has no gin in the house, we will have words about this
So have a white wine spritzer instead, with plenty of spritzer, I'm thirsty, that alone will force me of this exceptionally comfortable sofa, to pour another one and put a load of washing on.
Loosely watching Colombo which is comforting, as is the smell of incense, I'm expecting the to kick in anytime soon...

Peanut, please take it easy today. Your busy, busy posts yesterday made me feel tired! Take some perculiar tea and rest up. Sorry about your sofa.

Hello CC and Elektra
Thank you for dropping round
Sofa has been skipped, mostly recycled, have done Mums shopping picked up some bits and bobs for us, as Mum and offered to buy me a bottle of wine I topped up the extra and have got some fake Baileys
Now that I have picked up Mum and Eric, I really have nothing on my to do list and I am taking it real easy because Elektra told me so
The reason really for a big push yesterday was for this, I feel a sense of accomplishment, it is the weekend I can really enjoy this new space and just potter about.

cactuscafe Posted Apr 12, 2014
Yes! Splendid! I love that, the space is a result of the busy whirl.
I've been in a busy whirl also. I want Elektra to tell me to slow down now, also, purr purr , that would make me secure. heheh.
When I woke this morning, the first words that came into my fuzzy brain were clic-clac. I love these words, clic-clac.

That's right. After all that cleaning you deserve to potter around and enjoy yourself. Actually you inspired me to do necessary cleaning as well so DG with his allergies owes you!
