Hmm I thought you were just making it up, like when you left and had those made up abortions you claimed were forced on you or when said people forced name changes upon you.
Oh well never let it be said that loved does not flow between like the palm doth flourish.
I thought your name changes were some sort of rouse, they annoyed some amused others but have not apparently acheieved what you want so i have a plan to get people to acknowledge your name change.
Its startlingly simple as a lot of the best plans are.
Ignore people who dont use your chosen name. Anyone who insists on refering to you as Della, Adelaide or Adele just blank them till they start using aquamarina or whatever.
You are one of the most popular people around the forum and ask pages as can be seen by the number of posters to your PS and replies to your posts, so i dont think it will be long till people observe your name change as long as you are strict about not replying to non-compliers.
Its worth a try as in the last few days your last plan has not really worked.
one love

I never claimed to have had any abortions, which you'd know if you really understood what has happened over the years (years which seem like decades, sigh.) I said my sister, my sister who lives in another city right here in NZ, and who I didn't name because I didn't have her permission to talk about it, had had two abortions, at least one of which she was pressured to have. I want to make it clear even to you - I never have had *any* abortions, and *never* claimed to have had!
Blinky, it's all very well for you to suggest I ignore people who don't use the name I want them to use, but I have been trying to ignore you and Hoo for years - where has it got me? Hoo and a couple of other people with problems have gone to other threads I am on, and posted all sorts of sh1te about my names!

On the contrary, I think it's worked very well, in terms of letting members of the Axis of Weasels experience the kind of frustration I've had to put up with since I first managed (somehow) to p*ss of Hoo/Member/Number back in November 2003...

I'm glad this point has been raised - what do I call you? I wish I knew! I seem to revert to calling you 'Della' - a name which I rather liked, and which I do wish you would keep. I understand that you wish to avoid links to the far-too-catchy 'D-T Della,' but since the thread is on your personal space it will take a while before it disappears anyway, and... Well, I think people will forget about it. And I can't help but thinking, when your name is something different, it just makes the thread more conspicuous while it's there.
So, the advantages of 'Della' are:
1. it was a cool name ;
2. everyone knows it;
3. people won't be confused by the changes;
4. the bad link is already fading.
I noticed that the thread was mentioned recently by Heathen Skeptic in the Mass Theological Debate thread. (I do lurk there a little!) However, notice that she didn't actually know about it beforehand - she only mentioned it because the thread was what gave her the clue to your name. Once again, it would be advantageous to return to your original name, because that's what everyone knows you as. Heck, I just can't get it out of my head! Every time I refer to you it's Della this, Della that.
Please? (<- for the flower/loo-brush, not because you need to cheer up!)
And Blicky, thank you for bringing it up, I was waiting for someone to ask!

Jordan, I also prefer Della and happily I am one of the few that Della doesn't mind using that name.
Della, I think that rather than ignore everyone who doesn't call you by whatever new name you decide on it would be better just to stick with Della (for many reasons that Jordan has pointed out) and just ignore it when people make reference to the old 'DTD' thing.
To be honest I've only seen it mentioned once or twice over the past few months. If you had ignored *those* postings and just carried on then I'm sure nobody else would have thought anything of it other than - 'oh, there go Hoo and Della again'.
But by doing this daily name change thing you are not only confusing some people (and annoying others) but you are actually drawing more attention to the very thing you seem to be trying to avoid. For example, the only reason HS found out about DTD is because she wanted to check on who the 'new researcher' was and found it on your personal space. And I'll bet she's not the only person who has done that, though nobody else (so far) has brought it up.

Same with Noggin and me. For example, when I was organizing the 'Christmas thing' we always referred to you as Della. Or if we talk about something you've posted.
Anyhow, I think you'd do better to just rise above the name-calling and stick to your original name.

I did say that aswell as annoying and confusing some it has *amused* all the so called axis of weasels I think I can safely say have been having yet more laughs at your expense from the beging to right now over the whole silly episode.

I'll consider your advice, but for today, the game is still afoot. Thanks...

Hi Joan {Della} Been a while since our paths last crossed. Even though I have been gone most of 2004 I see this Place is still as crazy as ever. Can I still call you Della if I whisper? Anyhow it is good to see you again my friend. "Illegitimis nil carborundum"

Hi, Starbirth, what a coincidence, I was just wondering where you'd got to... Yeah, you can call me Della, that's fine!
It's got to be a complete madhouse around here, which is a pity. Anyway, how are ou doing these days? The last I heard (December '03) you'd just had or were just going to have surgery... I hope you're well.

Nice to speak with you again Della. I hope this post finds you well. I had several operations in 2004 and pain seemed to be a constant companion, however I ended up a bionic man with a titanium Knee.
I am on the mend now and hope to get my old life back in 2005.
Look forward to sparring with you again soon.

A titanium knee! Oh, that sounds horribly painful... I am so glad you're through it all, and getting back to what you were. It's so good to hear from you. I too, look forward to sparring with you.
