Blackberry Cat , if one wishes to remain an individual in the midst of the teeming multitudes, one must make oneself grotesque Posted Sep 6, 2004
Slow or blinkered?
He does seem to have achieved the unlikely and got almost everyone else agreeing about how awful Bush is. Rarely have I seen a bunch of hootooers in general agreement

A few things that I think are worth bearing in mind when dealing with our friend Buckie:
1) Nothing winds him up like having his postings yikesed. He has committed some of the most outrageous breaches of the House Rules I've ever seen, and the rules have been repeatedly pointed out to him: but he still gets into a foam-flecked, feather-spitting fury if anyone has the temerity to make a complaint. Apparently I'm a 'worthless wimp' a 'coward' and 'the weakest person on h2g2' for having done so when, for instance, he copied and pasted huge chunks of libel from the Swiftvets site on to hootoo.
2) Abusive postings, of the type he makes routinely, are against the House Rules. The particularly offensive one he made last night about Bain would have been a prime candidate for yikesing had Bain not unfortunately (but very understandably) responded in kind.
3) The Editors already know about Buckie for sure: I've been in correspondence with Jimster. People can disagree with my opinions all they like, but I'm ed if I'm going to let some bigot use h2g2 as an outlet for a smear campaign, and I'm sick of being insulted by said bigot. Reading between the lines of some of the things Buckie's posted, I suspect that he's already had a warning about his future conduct; that may explain why he's taken to ignoring most of us.
4) If you *do* yikes a posting, and you're pointing out a repeat offender, it's a good idea to tell the Moderators to alert the Editors on the form that pops up when you press the button.
Get my drift?

I'll think about it
although I do understand the need for the system I've never yiksed anybody yet and don't particularly want to start
GB has come as close as anyone to making me do it but in general I think hes doing as much damage to pro-Bush arguements as anyone on the thread
Key: Complain about this post
