It gets worse; we both decided we wanted to be betas, since many of the... snarky... comments we were making could have been easily avoided by the author. That is, she said she wanted to be a beta, and I revealed that I'd been thinking about doing it in my free time over the summer.
We have some kind of special phone plan where it's doesn't matter how much you talk, there's a flat rate.

...And of course it always helps to be impervious to pointed comments about how long you've been on the phone... or to be able to make your own about, "Wonder where I got that trait from..."

Or just don't give a crap, I've taken the position that my house mates point of view is worthless because he has ago at me for no reason and without compromise. and I'm not messing about with people.

Weeell, but that's only if it's someone you don't respect at all; I live with my parents(my father spends massive amounts of time on the phone--hours at a time, often, so any comment about how long I've been on is a bit rich coming from him).
Of course, with (RL)strangers/people I don't like, my motto is, "If the gods wanted me to let people stand around in my way, they wouldn't have given me bony elbows."
I know, it could use a little work.

Well I don't like getting people out of my way, but I won't stand for people putting themselves there.

Well, that stands to reason. I mean, it is easier to duck around someone than to move them.

indeed, have you ever thought of someone in the light that they might be getting in your way because it's some kind of a game?

Yes! Especially when they're ONE PERSON, somehow managing to block the *entire hallway*. Like they're sooooo cute for being a moron, or something.

Well, look, it's an extra-disturbing name.

well the complete works of Shakespeare was a gripping roll-coaster of a novel crammed with sizzling Gypsies.

Wayfarer-- I only wish I were crackly Posted Jun 19, 2004
No, that's not nearly as disturbing a concept, I think.
(I'd say that "A blockbuster jam-packed with Byronic quasi-heros, dark majiks, evil plots, and more doom than the ultraviolence section of a video games store," would be a fair description of the complete works of Shakespeare, too.)
