The short story in Nightmares and Dreamscapes is called My Pretty Pony, not My Little Pony.

The Dark Tower series also includes "Wolves of the Calla" which is currently out in hardcover, and the upcoming volumes "Song of Susannah" and "The Dark Tower" to be released in June and September of this year, respectively.

well as it is now july 2004...song of susannah is out and i read it in three days....amazing....anyway, one thing that should be mentioned is the tie-ins to all of his books...whether it be (as you mentioned)Flagg appearing in the eyes of the dragon or the Little Sisters of Eleria appearing in Black House....or perhaps the Crimson King...who appears in many of the books, in one form or another....or Pere Callahan, aka Father Callahan from Salem's Lot, appearing in the fifth Dark Tower novel, and continuing his role as newest member of Roland's ka-tet....just a thought.....later

I thought it ended up a huge pat on the back from the author to the author. Writing yourself into your own novel? Pah. I like the way that he's been tying in books for a long time (especially the Castle Rock ones), but this one just stepped over the line for me.
It's not put me off waiting for the last book - I've been following this series for years and years, but it was a bit of a disapointment.

I know exactly how you feel...I could really read the story without the author being a character in the story...but I thought something like this might happen although I thought it might have something to do with Roland's father...you remember "King Stephen" Deschain....well anyway....can't wait til the next one comes out in September...already put in an advanced order....later
