A Conversation for The Palace of Versailles
Gardens, closing day

It is important to know that the Chateau is closed on *mondays*, contrary to the vast majority of national museums which are closed on *tuesdays*. It is a nice arrangement once you know it... once you know it.
The gardens are opened every day, and are free, except on some summer week-ends, where the Grandes Eaux (Great Waters) are shown - a fee is required to access the Small Park, where the fountains are. The Big Park (including the Grand Canal) is still free in such cases, but you have to use side accesses.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
