Well, you will have that extra A-Level. Speaking of, sorry to hear Oxford rejected you. I never applied, hence no rejection...

Extra A-level? I've been planning to have this one all along! And plus if I don't get it then I may not get sponsorship from the company I want sponsorship from...
Yeah, I was expecting the rejection.

By "Extra Subject", I merely meant "One More Than Me".
Sponsorship? There's a good idea I wish I'd had. Who's sponsoring you? Maybe I'll shoot for a Summer placement after Year 1, and try to get sponsored by the same company. it all sounds to much like hard work.
I know I asked you this before, but what course are you taking at Uni, and where?
BTW: my Entry on rapping was picked up by a scout!

Ah, I see.
Oxford Instruments, hopefully. I'm doing Physics at either Durham (first choice if they give me an offer), Warwick (first choice if Durham don't give me an offer), or Southampton (insurance).
What are you doing and where?
Hey, well done!

I visited Warwick recently and I really kinda liked it. If I get an offer, it could become my insurance after Sheffield. Hey: if we both screw up and go to Warwick, we could actually meet! Or not... I'm actually fond of the air of mystery that comes from no-one actually knowing what I look like...

Oops, there was a question there, wasn't there? Probably Sheffield, if not either Warwick or York, and I'm doing Electronic Engineering - not a million miles from Physics, I suppose - you get the facts, I'll manipulate them...
Um... Further Maths?
Ming Mang Posted Feb 25, 2003
Southampton is my insurance choice, so if I screw up I go there, not Warwick.
What you look like is a mystery is it?
Electronic Engeineering eh? My dad did that at Bristol poly... What sort of offers do you get for that then?

D'oh. I guess I'd better strive for Sheffield then...
Yes, it is. I wear a rubber mask and rob banks in my spare time.
Um... Further Maths?
Hotblack Desiato Posted Mar 12, 2003
Yes, because I want to go to Sheffield. I never wanted to go to Warwick that much, but if I did miss out at Sheffield and end up there, having a fellow H2-er about the place would have considerably softened the blow. Alas, their offer was no better than Sheffield's AAB anyway, so I guess that sorts that out.
Dunno. I figured I could be a supervillian, but it's only the heroes who wear the rubber masks. Perhaps I could find a baliclava or something...
Um... Further Maths?
Ming Mang Posted Mar 13, 2003
Oh, well that's fair enough. There is another h2g2-er at Warwick that I know of anyway.
Yeah, maybe... but then, do supervillains wear balaclavas either?

Hotblack Desiato Posted Apr 17, 2003
Oh, well, fine, you don't need ME then!
Oh, bal-a-cla-va. Makes sence... and yeah, they do! There's... you know! He was on the tele. Monty Python was it? Holy Grail? Yeah, they had a whole load of guys wearing balaclavas... no, wait, that was chain mail. Fair enough, I concede: no-one wears balaclavas any more. Except terrorists, bank robbers and kids with really cruel parents. Can we leave it at that? I don't see why it matters anyway!
BTW: Hi, it's been a while. I just needed to unplug, I guess. And plus I have LOADS of work at the minute.
Um... Further Maths?
Ming Mang Posted Apr 23, 2003
Nope. Especially since I've almost decided on Durham...
I've forgotten if it ever mattered, to be honest.
So do I. Too much maths...

Hi Thom!
Leaving a message here too as you suggested. Sooooo... hello everyone! I'm Liz, I'm 18 and a fellow DNA fan.
God, no.

Come on! Someone say something nice!
Don't worry Liz - they're just a bit shy. Plus, two Liz's... it messes with their minds...
