One moment Paulh was watching Little Mary Sunshine make cookies in a
vast bowl. The next moment he was losing his balance and falling in. Alas, he broke through the bottom of the bowl and plunged into an abyss. The last thing he heard was Mary saying, "Be careful! There's a diamond mine under the kitchen, and you might break through into it."

As annoying as the flour was, at least it broke his fall when he landed on a pile of sharp diamonds. "I seem to be unhurt," Paulh said happily. Then he looked up and saw seven little men staring at him. "Hi, I'm Paulh," he said sheepishly.

The grumpiest of the little men scolded him for getting flour all over the diamonds they had spent weeks digging from the sides of the mine. The bashful one said nothing. The one who seemed like a doctor came over to make sure he was really unhurt. One sneezed, one stood there with a grin on his face, and one tripped over a loose diamond that was lying around.

"Come," said the happy one. "We shall introduce you to Snow White. We think she'd make a nice wife for you."

Paulh was led through a forest full of friendly woodland creatures. Snow White was delighted to see him. While she was showing him around the cottage, the doorbell rang. It was an ugly crone with a basket of apples in her hand.

So, dear reader, you think you know how this episode will end, don't you? You think Paulh will eat an apple, fall into a deadly coma, and be awakened by a kiss from a handsome prince. Well, that's mostly it, but it won't be a prince, orany other kind of human.......
