Well I was quite stunned to not find any information about Mike Keneally on here so I thought I would take it upon myself to write up a brief bio and discography.

Hi Proglodyte,
Perhaps not *so* surprising - given there are not yet entries on, say, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley or Miles Davis; all, with respect to MK, somewhat bigger names on a global scale .
To me, the entry feels a little unbalanced - the Discography dominates too much. Can it be broken up into different periods or styles? If not, perhaps we need more comment in the shape of which albums are considered by fans to be his best, or which ones are the easiest "way in" to Keneally's music for a newcomer to him.
Finally, I'm afraid that the use of the first person is strongly discouraged in Edited entries, unless there's a very good reason, so try to generalise those "I" sentences in Para 1. Also, the last sentence in that para is rather weak and repetitive - maybe you can find a different way to say it?
Still, I'm sure MK deserves an entry and with a little work I hope this can become that.

I would also like a little information about the man himself, as well as the stuff on his music, which is well done
I would suggest for the discography at the end, that you use GML to make an unordered list (a list without numbers)
you'd do that
title of album
title of next album
.....

Check her out now. If you people aren't happy with this then I am just going to crawl under a rock and die! I had the worst time getting this GuideML stuff to work. I was ripping my hair out!

Yes, it has payed off and the list is nice, isn't it. Well worth losing a few hairs, and they'll grow again!
Could you be bothered to make up a few Headers and/or Subheaders for a bit of structure? I'm not asking to go bald again, you could indicate them by using uppercase text.
Other than that, I'd like to know something about his family life, but even without that I'd say it's ready for some scout to pick it

Thanks, I am very happy with this entry and am very anxious for it to be added after all the effort I put into it. I did divide the entry into three sections using bold case headers. Those commands for the GuideML weren't nearly as tricky as the bulleted list. That thing was a bear!
As far as Keneally's current family life, there really isnt much to tell. He does have a small daughter, not sure of her age, and is currently going through a divorce with the childs mother. But I don't think Mike would want that sort of personal stuff posted in a biography on him. I will leave that up to him to discuss on his website.
If you haven't already, check out his website at [url removed by moderator]

Hi Proglodyte,
This article does look much better now - all you need is the attention of a Scout with picks to make!
It's good to see when our comments are taken on board (Scouts have egos too!), so you've given youself the best possible chance. Please note, though, that this is not a quick process: any given Scout can only make recommendations once every four weeks, so please don't be disheartened if it takes a little while longer before you jump the next hurdle. The important thing is that you have written a good article which is already available to be read in its current form, and which I am confident will, in the fullness of time, progress to a more official status.

Congratulations!

Hello Proglodyte!
Hi, I'm GTBacchus, the SubEditor working on your entry, which, by the way is very good and interesting
I'm writing to ask you about something. In the Guide, names of albums go in italics, while names of songs go in quotes. I've tried to get it all right in the discography, but I'd appreciate if you'd drop by at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A592959
and let me know if I italicized the right bits and put the right bits in quotes. Thanks alot, and congratulations again!
Congratulations!
GTBacchus Posted Jul 24, 2001
Also, is it really, /Cheap Thrills/ and then /Son of Cheep Thrills/?
Congratulations!
Proglodyte Posted Jul 25, 2001
It should be 'Son of Cheap Thrills', that must have been a typo. Also in the first paragraph under the heading for THE MUSIC, there is a mention of Frank Zappa's 'Grand Wazoo' era band. Grand Wazoo is an album tile and should therefore be in italics.
Thanks for getting to this entry and thanks for the nice compliments on it.
