November 19 Orange Hampster

I have deduced the following from reading posts on h2g2 this week. I do not own any hats.
h2g2 has been sold with italic tools that are the hampster equivalent of a pig in a poke . And an old arthritic pig/cat at that.
Because of this, even with the help of the gnomes to count the h2g2 readers , the new italics are stuggling to make the hampster keep the wheels turning.
So the plan is to recruit a mammoth to help the hampster out but it is not yet trained up. It will be taken to Port Street Beer house until it gets the hang of h2g2 .
We have only 5 years and after that we will all have to use Barlesque whether we like it or not.
I hope that clears things up for any of my readers but I expect you all worked it out for yourselves.
This journal has been brought to you by the number 19, the colour Orange and the < hamster > smiley.

I've tried to find Barlesque, but it still isn't working for me . :?

They haven't yet got Barlesque working on the new owners version of h2g2 so it isn't there to be found yet.
I didn't like Barlesque because there were so many things that just didn't work for instance the <./>info</.> page couldn't be made to go back more than 20 conversations/articles so just a few minutes ago could be seen. The top 20 busiest conversations were not on the front page, only the 6 happening right now this minute. It was therefore impossible to gather information afterwards e.g. my orange hampster summary above would have been impossible.
There is in my opinion no point in looking modern if the thing doesn't work. But the BBC actually wanted to reduce the possibility of users reading comments and talking to each other. Look at how they ran the message boards down. So perhaps Barlesque actually was working from their point of view. Things aren't always what they seem.
Anyway the new lot are in charge now but what they actually want and who the site will be aimed at is not yet clear to me. If they need money(which they do) it will have to be more than students and graduates from top universities capable of writing the entries to h2g2 standards so it can only be good news can't it.
Key: Complain about this post
