I don't know if anyone else here can get BBC3 - they've just started a new comedy series called The Mighty Boosh, and it's great!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/mightyboosh/
It's very very trippy, a bit, just a tiny bit Pythoneque, but with a really current swing to it - very different!
Two guys work in a weird zoo, last night the grim reaper came to take the gorilla who was old, and accidentally took one of the guys who was dressed in a gorilla suit - mistaken identify - and the grim reaper drove him to monkey hell, but his friend came and rescused him (by going into limbo once he'd crawled through the mirror that was protected by the duster man called Susan) giving the king monkey hell ape some hair conditioning cream that had been given to him by the mystic in the fortune telling box at the zoo.
Got it? Very bizarre, but I think brilliant!

Traveller in Time watching three on two (or was it three on one)
"Any chance they will repeat it on analogue television?"

Peta Posted May 26, 2004
It's a new series, with a totally unknown team, so I guess if it's successful on BBC3 they'll move it over or repeat it on BBC1 or BBC2 sometime. I'll let you know if I hear anything, it's *very* special!

We're fine thank you! Both have had exam year so now it's all over they are resting. A lot. Sunshine goes to uni this year. When did I get old enough to have a child that became an adult? They are huge Boosh fans too so we're all going to huddle round the laptop on Tuesday. We hope it's as good as series 1 too.
How are you and yours?

Traveller in Time trying to get realplayer to be cooperative for once
"Link to episode 1 on < <./>comedy/mightyboosh/</.> >.
Last time realplayer had an 'essential' upgrade to perform, now it fails on nearly anything "

Traveller in Time real playing from other servers (United States)
"I think it is because I am abroad , deep below the error seems to be the server refuses to send the stream.
There is a warning the broadcast is for 'UK users only' .
Well, I am glad I ignored that warning when Radio4 was broadcasting The Radio Episodes . "

Hi coelacanth,
Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I must have missed your post!
Wow, Sunshine is off to university in September! I remember you bringing the girls into TDV, but that must have been six, seven years ago now, crikey, they're all growing up!
I didn't get a chance to watch it last night. Was it as good as the last series?

It seems like ages when we first visited you there and found laptops propped up on telephopne directories and Barbies as a message system! Almost 6 years ago I think and I still have the photo you took somewhere. Yes, they are growing up and both taller than me now.
Is the new series good? Well we laughed a lot! And he still has cool hair. You can watch the Boosh on broadband all week so you haven't missed it. Just click the link above. It doesn't get on TV until next week.

Thanks coelacanth,
I'll try and get on there later in the week. Mark's just got a whizzy new G5 Mac with a huge widescreen, so I'll see if I can get him to get it up and running on that.

Hi Peta! Did you ever did get to watch the second series online? Anyway, BBC2 start the repeats, Monday 30th Jan at 11.20 . (Typical BBC to put cult shows on so late, series 1 was on at 7pm!)
Other Boosh news is that the DVD of series 2 is out on the 13th Feb, http://www.bbcshop.com/invt/bbcdvd1950&bklist= as is a boxed set of both series, with a booklet. http://www.bbcshop.com/invt/bbcdvd1980&bklist=
Oh, and the Boosh boys are on tour! Moonlight and I are going to see them!!! We're very excited! We have a plan to hang around the stage door and see if we can meet them.

Traveller in Time trying to keep awake tonight
"Must say these new series do have something indeed, found the samples as on the WEB about the first series not very good.
Good to see you are back (we have had nearly 4000 online)"

Hi Coelacanth,
I managed to watch a couple of them, and then missed the rest.
I haven't got a VCR at the moment, so I'm not even going to be able to tape the late night BBC2 broadcast - and I'm just not going to be able to keep awake that late on a school night!
Going to see them sounds like a great idea, I bet it's a *really* trippy show! I'll have a look at their website to see where they're playing, that sounds like a great idea.

Traveller in Time not fallen asleep this episode __SPOILERS__
"First was some hike in the jungle.
The second was about making a 'new sound' before the deadline.
Mystical story of the two wandering in the desert, many musical intermezzos, Carlos Santana and Arlo Guthry imitations, though not bad at all .
Concept of open your mind, only hig priests get a door in their head _handing_ out useful ideas. "

"There was some documentary type program with a special on 'The Mighty Boosh' even some previews of their tour in York. (will not spoil the other thread )"
