Garlic mashed potatos

Mashed potatos needen't be boring.
You need:
Six large potatos. Peel them first if you like.
A carrot or two. Peeled (Optional)
A piece of turnip-rooted celery. Optional
Two-three cloves of carlic. Peeled.
Some butter or oliveoil after taste.
Cream and/or milk.
Salt/pepper
Boil the potatos and the other veggies and the garlic.
Mash together with butter/oliveoil.
Add milk/cream
Season with salt and pepper.
Note
You can use whatever aditional root-vegetable you that you like.
Small boquets of cauliflower is nice.
Grated cheese stirred in is delicious!
Garlic mashed potatos serves well with grilled fish, fried chicken or just as a vegetarian dish.

Oh yum. I've never done them like that. I use sour cream though and lots of black pepper too.
