A Conversation for Religion

Afterlife?

Post 1

Crazy Man

I believe in the afterlife, yet I do not really believe in God. Am I religious for believing in something?

Lowey of perpetual inactivity and downright laziness: Talk to me people TALK! (Zaphodista)

You have beliefs, not religion. There is a difference. In a religion, you must abide by set rules (or at least try) and at the same time believe that what the other people in the religion believe in. The problems begin when we start analysing individuals within a religion, and find that not all of them actually beleieve in the same things, and to further complicate things, some don't believe in the right things whilst practising the right things, and some people believe in the right things and practise the wrong things... :-S

One final point, a perfect example of this is the problems with Afghanistan that have been taking place recently - they can't possibly have missed your attention with all the publicity they have received. These muslims are DEDICATED to go against their religions beliefs and practises. So are they muslims? They certainly believe they are...!

Sorry I took a long time to respond to this posting, I could tell you why, but I'll just say "Read my name, it explains everything".

Bye!
