n2g2 I think was started by Goof Lithium (sp?) but eventually moved to Yahoo for some reason, money? Goof leaving h2g2? Can't remember. The link was removed to one of them for a while, because of some of the content.

I was a member for ages, but nothing interesting (to me) ever happened on it, so I left. ACtually I may still be a member, but I don't get the emails.

I had a huge crush on Goof for a long time, but despite being local he'd never meet up, or even send a photo. I expect he was a 40 stone hairy spotty geek or something.

I think I might have got that the wrong way round - the Yahoo group may have come first and then Goof set up a messageboard, which then vanished, leaving just the yahoo group.

Not that it's important of course. Funny how the memory changes things around.
