2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - puff

Was at gym today, with my personal trainer, for my useual hour session.... Only, his later client had canciled.

Luckily I was there to stand in.

So had a two hour session smiley - puff

First hour cardio; half an hour interval training on the cross trainer (including hands free peddling; which works quite different sections of the quads, plus does a lot of core strengthing).
Then half an hour interval training on the tredmill.... up to 10 MPH running at the end smiley - puff

Then did an hour of weights/strength; lifting of course, bench pressing, curls, squats, but also lifting whilst using the exercise ball, including squats against the wall, 'roling' down on the ball whilst squatting, and laying backwards over the exercise ball, doing bench pressing with the dumbbells smiley - puff then balancing on the exercise balls.... just with knees, then with both hands, and only one knee smiley - yikes also did some calasenics, abs, and dips etc smiley - puff Trainer was training with me, and we were both soaked by the end smiley - laughsmiley - zen got home showered, turned on the grill to make something to eat, as I was starving... and the oven/grill exploded smiley - laughsmiley - doh - so out tomorrow to hunt down a new grill/hob smiley - dohsmiley - 2cents Its way too old to consider fixing, and it was dirt cheap when I got it, so really not worth repairing smiley - doh (plus the oven heating element exploded ages back smiley - laugh )

Hospital yesterday for cardiology... nothing exciting, she doesn't think the enlarged section of the aortic root has increased in size, which is good; she does think my abnormal bicuspid valve is responsible for the dilated aorta; probably been an abnormal tricuspid since birth; its only bicuspid, not tri, so isn't quite as strong as its ment to be smiley - doh - she's happy with my heart rate (so low now thanks to exercise), and BP; so isn't trying to push me on to BP lowering meds; I wasn't able to tolerate the angiotencin II receptor antagonist, and she thinks the use of a beta-blocker, would further worsten my problems due to the hormones, in my bodies temperature regulation.... I>E., I'd freeze... plus, as my heart rate is now in the 50's, she thinks it would send that too low - I don't relaly want random fainting, especially not with the osteoporosis smiley - dohsmiley - laugh

Still chasing up my next Growth hormone delivery.... company say the surgary hasn't sent the prescription, so we're off to surgary now, to interigate them.... smiley - dohsmiley - grr
In otter news, I've been practising the exercise ball at home, and practising ballet postures... my balance is getting insane good smiley - wowsmiley - zen time for a cuppa smiley - tea then off to pharmacy to pick up meds we didn't get round to collect yesterday, then to surgary to interigate the 'gate keeper' about this GH prescription... smiley - zensmiley - run

Not yet! but soon I will be! smiley - evilgrin because.... what is more obvious, than a blind transvestite, doing ballet balancing on a large exercise ball.... smiley - laugh - getting to just stand on it, may still take a while to achieve smiley - laughsmiley - zen

We went out to the electrical shop..... through the rain smiley - brr and found an oven smiley - zen which will be arriving Saturday... == sadly William doesn't like the idea of my wiring it in, so we paid the store extra to do that, plus take away the old one smiley - zen so... now I need to decide what to cook in it, when it arrives smiley - yikes and... figure out what to do for dinner the next couple of nights, whilst we've got no oven or grill... smiley - dohsmiley - weird
Also went into shop that sells jeans, to buy jeans, but were unable to buy jeans... as seemingly everyone wants this horrid distressed jeans thesedays, and the only ones that weren't distressed, all had button flies smiley - dohsmiley - groan No gym today, now, so I'm balancing on the exercise ball again, and doing some home calasenics smiley - zensmiley - puff
as its cold, may make some kind of thick rice/chicken soup thing tonight, or perhaps bulghur again smiley - zen

Baron Grim

You see, this worries me. Ever since the "chili pepper incident" I can't trust 2legs to not try something suggested here.

Doing some batch cooking at the moment, made up a gallon of Spanish rice last night, with 3 tbspn basil, 1 tbspn garlic powder (not garlic salt), 1 tbspn cumin powder stirred into the rice while still boiling and a pint of tomato soup stirred in immediately after the rice gelled, covered and allowed to cool.

smiley - drool - Looking forward to cooking things not cooked ever, or in years, once we've got the oven... not least roasting up big meat joints, for cold meat during the week (like roasting our own hams etc...) smiley - zen - the apple juice cooked ham I did at Christmas was smiley - droolsmiley - drool - that was just cooked in the slow cooker, but might be nice trying some oven-baked too smiley - zen mmm... cinnamon on ham smiley - weirdsmiley - drool with cumin, maybe smiley - zen

today started with porridge, with some jam and almonds, followed by an hour at the gym smiley - puff - Still feeling fatigued I think from the double session on Tuesday smiley - laughsmiley - doh
Home, and I cooked up some bulghur, with fennel and mustard seed, for lunch, and finished off the last of the fresh chicken breast we had in, sliced and fried in spray oil, with a good covering of paprika smiley - drool had that in a bowl, with the bulghur, some plain low fat yoghurt, and some pickled chili peppers smiley - magic
Didn't do sod all during the afternoon really... except having a nap smiley - zzz then did pan fried tuna steaks for dinner, with mushrooms and some filled pasta from the freezer that needed to be used up soon smiley - zen Nothing planned for tomorrow, cept getting the oven here, and installed, plus taking delivery of my next growth hormone delivery smiley - doh - and trying to dispose of all the packing it comes in, into the bin smiley - doh
Oh, and making pizza, of course, for tomorrow night smiley - zen may be pub tomorrow night... but we are at the pub Sunday afternoon, to see a blues band smiley - musicalnote - also sunday out with the LGBT group, for coffee, late morning/early afternoon, before the blues band smiley - zen - so probably no gym Sunday smiley - doh
