Next month. for two days.... it looks like, anyhow seems they'll pay expenses for me and W, so that's OK, and they're gona do all the booking flights hotels and ensuring hotels have refridgeration for medications etc a flying short visit though, as its two days... so I think we fly in on the 10th, have the 'thing' on the 11th, and I assume fly back on the twelve some medical conference patient group thinggy to do with my growth hormone I wonder how many of the other growth hormone patients are blind tranvestites.... hmm... heck, is Berlin ready for a blind transvestite, I assume its full of them already afterall, being Berlin, its probably compulsory or something OK, so I guess I oughta learn some German.... I've not even got poorly recalled school taught German to rely on so this might not go well Assuming of course I meet criteria, which they'll have to decide on soon as its not far off ... so I guess I need to do mad trips to the Drs or hospital, to get letters to say I can travel with short needles for my GH, plus GH injection pen, plus the IM needles for the emergency HC, plus HC v glass vials of liquid, plus all the other meds and stuff.... unless I just smuggle it through security like I did las time flying back from Sweden - its so much quicker smuggling it back; though I did have letters saying I needed the needles and liquid meds etc with me but... where's the fun in doing it legally and correctly... mind, it is kinda funny, last time at Hethrow, where they scanned my white cane.... yeh because that is such an obvious place to smuggle stuff.... - they didn't think to look in my andbag very closely of course which is just as well, as it had a penknife in it at the time and liquid eyedrops and stuff

one hour walk this morning, over to the other side of the city, for some exercise, and to see a new shop that is there just in case its any use..... got some venison sausages whilst near the butchers that side of town which will go for dinner tonight, in a bulghur pilaf with mushrooms and onion and garlic and chilli and spices now... this pharma people who want me to do this trip away, want a pic of me for their records.... - in the leopard print dres, or just a close up head/shoulders shoot..... not sure

There's an idea, I think I'll make up a barley-mushroom and sliced almond pilaf tonight; along with shredded beef lap meat marinaded with a little fresh serrano chili pepper and soy sauce, glazed with sweet and sour sauce; and a salad with fresh cucumber, tomato, avocado and white onion, shredded and slightly steamed cabbage leaf with mace and sweet bell pepper, with basalmic vinaigrette dressing.

I'll make the meat in a large batch so I'll be able to use it other recipes.

too ill today to make it out to gym.... slowely slipping towards crisis but avoiding it at all costs - some kind of lower intestinal infection perhaps, plus I've a boil suddenly appear tonight from nowhere under an armpit which mayb ehelps explain how rubbish I felt today took 5 MG prednisolone AM, instead of 3 MG, and 2 MG PM instead of 1, to ensure I can help stay clear of crisis and coma and hospitalisation again felt a bit better as day went on, but mainly spent doing absolutely nothing, as I was mostly unable to sleep as normal felt better tonight, by the time I'd cooked, eaten and showered etc so just up-dosing the steroids and hoping its enough to avoid crisis, if the boil is there still Monday guess Ill go see GP for antibiotics again - the GP last time seemed really unhappy at my suggestion I'd just do what I've always done with boils, steralise the area, heat compresses, and lance it with a steryle needle... not sure why, it always used to work fine damn steroids dampening down my immune system to the point I get an infection, at which point I have to take more steroids to avoid going into crisis.... can't win either way I guess Starting to lose more sensation in my feet, not sure what that is about, perhaps a side effec tof not having any thyroid meds anymore as my levels are so low, I'm sure I recall that can cause perlipheral nerve dammage, or it could just be the efect of the continueing oedema the hospital can't brin themselves to be bothered to treat...

Oh, and the pharma company got back, they're hapy for W to come with me to berlin, as a ' carer of me, to be part of th e conference thing too, and participaite, so we'll both get expenses paid, which makes it most likely the trip will go ahead, assuming I'm not ill then

Berlin is a great city so I hope you get a lot of free time while you're there. The Berliner Tuntenball should be right up your alley. Sadly this years ball has already been and gone.

well, William is busy learning to speak German (given he's a language wizz, I guess ehe' he wil get some way with it, before we go!).

not at all sure how much free time there wil be, but we can use to guage if its somewhere we want to go back too, as a social destination/holiday some time.... - plus, William hasn't flown for years, so at least he can find out what a nighmare flying is now, with al the stupid security checks that now exist!

I've not been to any of Berlin's burlesque bars yet, but there should be quite a variety. Berlin was the backdrop for the film and musical "Cabaret" after all. And David Bowie favoured it vehemently also. Have fun!

sounds good... I just hope we can find some gorgeous cheese whilst there, and pack our carry-on bags with it to bring home and some German sausages too, of course Hmm.... I assume it s legal to bring food back....... "reason for trip" - "we're grocery shopping...."
