2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

no butter smiley - cross but you can have the salt smiley - laughsmiley - cool was circuit training again today... first time in two weeks due to the last one being canceled..... I won at the weight -in again smiley - evilgrinsmiley - divasmiley - cool and then the circuit training nearly killed me smiley - puffsmiley - sleepy home and a pretty substantial meal using up my remaining calories for the day smiley - divasmiley - puff - lost 2.4 KG since two weeks ago at last session smiley - coolsmiley - boing

Whilst there, as we were early, before hand, did a long walk over to endocrinology so I could pick up my last set of bloods.... thyroid levels virtually bottoming down at way off the 'normal range', as to e expected now I'm not taking thyroid meds smiley - alienfrown but I've still seemingly few if any symptoms of behing hypothyroid smiley - huhsmiley - shrug ahd a chat to the nurse, who was more relaxed than often, as it was the end of the day for her, and she wasn't seeing me as a patient; I.E., I wasn't actually in for bloods or tests or injections etc, so was a useful chat... I've been feeling 'off' the last two days, so I told her how I've increased my steroid dose, to help ensure I don't go into crisis.... not 'doubling it' as one is 'ment to do', but I've increased it in places, and admixed my prednisolone with the faster release hydrocortisone steroid, when Ive felt that was needed; she agreed that I seem to know what I'm doing and with the dosing.... - my IGF-1, the measure of growth hormone in the blood, is really high now, pushing up higher, towards top of normal range, which is good, and they're happy for me to have it that high smiley - cool - though as I mentioned to her, it could be that its poooling in my blood, as its ment to need thyroid hormone to get into cells.... - I think she's finally figured out I know a bit of waht I'm talking about, as I explained to her the biochemical mechanisms by which thyroid hormone allows growth hormone to work smiley - laughsmiley - geeksmiley - scientist - quite a useful little conversation actually

after circuit training, the next bus wasn't due for nearly half an hour.... so rather than standing about we did a twenty minute walk, down the road, to a couple of bus stops further on from the hospital, then picked hte bus up there smiley - zen 45 minutes circuit training and 40 minutes walking today, smiley - cool

Oh. I know! - its the carbs I've cut out big time... - and instead, I get to eat lots of wholesome eggs and bacon, just on mushrooms rahter than on toast! smiley - drool and meat... chicken... lamb.... fish.... pork.... beef... smiley - drool and buckets and buckets of salad matterial smiley - diva and, even, sometimes now I actually eat some fruit!!!!!!! smiley - wowsmiley - diva and beer of course, because beer is natural and made from vegetable things, so it has to count towards the five ... or ten a day fruit and veg, by any sensible persons logic... trust me; I'm a scientist smiley - scientistsmiley - geek

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - puff back from today's circuit training smiley - puffsmiley - magic they'r e scales tally up with ours aat home; shows I lost 1.4 Kg this week I.E., since wednesday last circuit training last week smiley - cool which is about 3 Lb in my mental maths smiley - zensmiley - cool now a very late dinner, so naturally its rubbish junk food out of the freezer and into the oven smiley - laugh but oughta struggle to get anywhere up high enough for target calories for today, due to the circuit training and also the walking today; we were at hospital early again, so did the big walk round the hospital, then all the way through it, to endocrinology, to ask for a letter for when we travel, saying I'm allowed, and need* to travel with hyperdermic needles and drugs that require refridgeration etc smiley - zen

the nutrition part of the class can be amusing... having told me I've lost a huge amoutn of weight again, more than anyone else in the class, I didn't mention to them I do the exact opposite of their nutritional advice... I.E., high protein, high fat, low carb, and probably don't eat anwyhere near enough green veg and fruits etc smiley - laugh bought an avacado on the way home, which will do for W and my lunch tomorrow smiley - zen
