went to sainsburys, for bloods.... looks like the arms bruised up quite badly again, this time,k even though I got the nurse to use the vein on my bicept, on my right arm, which is about the biggest thing I've got, vein wise, left on my arms ATM smiley - doh did some shopping whilst there, got some tiny potatos, which will do tonight and tomorrow, a pack of pork steaks/chops, which we'll have two of tomorrow night, and probably freeze the others, to have some other time, and a pack of chicken thighs, which Ill cook up the evening after tomorrow, and have a couple that night, with salad and avocado for dinner, and keep the rest of th the thighs, cooked, after that in the fridge for using the next couple days... also got a pack of ham whilst there smiley - chef

tired by the time we got back, as it was a 70 minute round trip, walking there and back, so went for a 'short nap'... smiley - doh didn't wake up until a bit ago, so now finally cooking a very late dinner smiley - doh half the potatos on to boil, and the smoked haddock under the grill with some rosemary and black pepper and a litlte olive oil, whole green beans to boil soon, to go with that, plus a big bowl of salad to go with it, I think smiley - zen should all be cooked in about twenty minutes smiley - zen

40 minutes out walking earlier... in the freezing cold smiley - brr - seems I've still got some nerve dammage in my fingers, as they go loverly pure white when very cold, especially on my right hand, from the neuropathy, still, although they're a lot better when I virtually coudln't use them at all or feel anything, a couple years back immediately after the chemo smiley - zen and only consumed 850 calories today smiley - yikes despite bacon for breakfast smiley - droolsmiley - flyingpig had a gorgeous salad tonight, avocardo again, with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, some ceaser dressing, and a grilled chicken thigh, dowsed all over with paprika and black pepper smiley - drool so many calories not consumed today, it'd seem a shame not to go out for a couple of pints smiley - ale and still end up about 300 or 400 calories under my daily goal smiley - zen now lost about 8 Lb in the past err.... fifteen days or so smiley - zen and not even started adding in the gym yet smiley - zen and seemingly managing to lose weight whilst not taking any replacement thyroid meds, which, is, from waht I've read, ment to be impossible.... - I really don't trust some of the hospitals lab results on my bloods, they just don't add up with how I feel etc smiley - weirdsmiley - alesmiley - alesmiley - boing

Easy day today, very light continuous sprinkle all day, not enough to preclude working out of doors, about a month to get the house and yards in shape before surgery rescheduled for April.

Coffee and cookies for breakfast, for supper, a pint of soup made with a can of Progresso lentil soup with a medium sized potato & 1 1/2 zucchini spears cut into bite sized bits, a cup of desert petite primrose* florets added, seasoned with a heaping tbspn of cream cheese, a liberal dash of powdered kelp seasoning, 3 tsp of hot sauce and a bowl of plain yellow corn tortilla chips and cocoa on the side.

Camissonia boothii, the desert petite primrose, or brown-eyed primrose, a common desert winter and spring herb throughout the American south west.

The bunches of florets are similar to broccoli in texture, but more tender and slightly more bitter, more like basil than broccoli in flavor.

Rich in gamma-lineoleic acid.

One of the locally native herbs and spices I cultivate in my garden, a good soup and salad class herb.

oo... sounds an interesting herb/veg smiley - zensmiley - droolsmiley - magic

two hardboiled eggs for breakfast, on small slices of wholemeal bread, 308 calories.

salad for lunch, tuna, lettuce, cucumber, gherkins, and some dressing, and a tiny, 20 gram lump of mature cheese, crumbled smiley - zen and about 1000 calories left for tonight, which is a risotto I think, so should not reach even 1500 calories for the day, again I think smiley - zen

the three pints last night may have slightly taken me over for the day yesterday though smiley - blush - the only beer they had on I really like was 6% so that had a fair few calories in three pints smiley - blush but it was 30 minutes walking to and fro the pub, which helps smiley - zen

today just half an hour walking thus far, to and fro the Drs surgery to try get some sense out of the girl on reception (failed attempt), visa my last blood tests and what the Drs want to do next smiley - zensmiley - geek and then to the pharmacy to pick up 'some drugs'.... some drugs ended up being an entire shopping bag full for me smiley - laugh - but on getting home, I combined the 6 packets of steroids into four packs, so at least I could fit them in the ever-increasingly bulging main drug store in the fridge smiley - laugh two big boxes of eyedrops, plus melatonin and lansoprazole (the proton pump inhibitor thing) and, err, think that was about it, as I've given up taking the thyorid meds as they make me so ill ... Still waiting for Dr to write letter to gym, to say I'm fit enough to go to the gym... assuming the Dr (who has never seen me) thinks this is the case smiley - erm

house been shaking and vibrating all day smiley - yikes - work to demolish the double story garages behind these flats, is now in full swing..... and there are some large bits of reinforced concrete causing them considerable problem smiley - laugh bang! rumble! smiley - yikes hope the vibrations and movements of the hosue don't dammage teh house smiley - yikes
