2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

I've been rearranging my wardrobe.
Rather, I've been trying to rearrange my wardrobe, I've just about come to the conclusion, the wardrobe just isn't big enough.

So... the wardrobe isn't big enough... the bathroom isn't big enough for a bigger bath... yep. I think its time to move house. smiley - laugh no. seriously. Life's too short for rubbish baths. and I need* a bigger bath... well, not so much, or just bigger, but, better, more luxurious.... more..... smiley - erm

Well. more like the glorious, fabulus, beautiful pretty bath we saw a few months back, in a fabulus bath shop, in Norwich.

I think you'd call it a 'pedastil' bath; it has feet on it. and, also I think you can term it either a 'Cambridge' bath, or a 'slipper' bath.

You don't so much lay down, in it, as sit up in it... and its so deep, sitting bolt upright, your in the water up to your neck as it were...

they had other marvelous baths too, but I concentrated at teh time, looking at the Cambridge/slipper style ones... Although, maybe I need to do more research first, something is to be said for a larger, 'footprint' sized bath, which could have one laying out, totally flat in it, so long, of course, if it were deep enough for one to fully submerge.

Of course, in reality, ones choice would, I fear, as much as anything, be driven by the space, and size of space, in a potential bathroom area, one had to work with. Some of the jakuzi style baths might be fun too... Perhaps.

Anyhow, the one I really liked the look of, last time I looked... was about £3000. but. smiley - shrug life is too short for rubbish baths, so, it doesn't matter how much it is, really smiley - ermsmiley - laugh

Problem is, here, the bathroom just isn't big enough.

no point having a fablus bath installed, if one hasn't room for a neighbouring shower cubicle, afterall, one often needs to clean the 'gunk' off after having bathed for a few hours.

Simularly, one needs some area, floor area, nearby the bath, and shower in order to have space for keeping things, storage and space to move, dress in, towel oneself, etc, and a nice vanity unit, of course, plus some kind of seating, and, well, just room to move.... none of which is possible in the tiny bathroom in this house.

This house is such an odd shape really.

Its got a really generous hallway, when you enter off the street, but very long, with only a short gap though, between the front door itself, and the bottom of the staircase, which leads upstairs.

up those stairs, to a landing, then up a further flight, one finds oneself on a carpeted landing, of a reasonable size- accomidating two large houseplants; one on a tree trunk, one on a table, and a further, small wooden table in the corner, with, err, well, with a pile of rubbish on it, I think. Also, and for no obvious reason, the landing there, in another corner also houses a large microphone boom stand, folded up, natch, and a bass guitar neck, partly fretted, which, seems to live there. It did, until recently, also accomidate a dancing monkey, hanging from the top of a banister, a gorden the gopher, and Eddie, the sheep skull, but they've moved.

From this landing, one may walk into 'the studeo', or my computer room, which is... a very odd room, being windowless.
Oh, the landing itself, has no window, but does have a skylight.

Also, from that landing, one may go up a further flight of stairs, to the 'upstairs'.

Of course, the landing also offers a doorway, which takes one into a very large front room, which is mainly full of guitars, junk computers and suchlike.

From the front room at the side, is a doorway into a large, but long, kitchen (with balcony at one end), and a doorway, at the opposite end of the kitchen takes one into the utility room.

Right. the utility room... this is a pretty decent size, and above it, is the bathroom.

But. oddly. the bathroom isn't as large as the utility room; and the missing space, in the bathroom, is not taken up by a neighbouring room, its, just not any building 'out' as far, up there, as it is, on this floor. most. odd.

Upstairs reveals the tiny bathroom, and three bedrooms, and far too much wasted space, dedicated to coridor etc, between those rooms. smiley - alienfrown

anyhow. I got distracted there, I feel. Yes, definately distracted.

So got up late today.

woke relatively early... but felt so... bleh.... - really feels like I did during chemo, that total body and brain fatigue, sort of paralysing one.... - Starting to think this is the delayed fatigue from radiotherapy now, which is... damn annoying smiley - grr as in general I've been feeling a lot more betterer of late smiley - zensmiley - magic

anyhow. so woke up... turned over, pulled Bee out from underneath me smiley - cry poor bee... I must have squished her overnight...

and, gave bee a good cuddle, and clutched her to my breasts, and... must have fallen asleep as I woke an hour or two later, still cuddling her smiley - blush

Finally forced myself out of bed, ensuring Bee was safe, with DH lollypop (lamppost), at the other side of the bed....

wasn't as warm as I thought It'd be, when I got out from under the duvet....

Slipped on some panties, beige leggings, and then the red/pink/orange linen dress, a chain collar which I locked, and my necklace.
Combed my hair, visited the bathroom, washed my face, then put on some perfume, and came down and made coffee....

Took 'morning' med... about two hours late by then really smiley - laugh whilst waiting for coffee to brew smiley - coffeesmiley - diva

drank coffee... tried to wake up... smiley - sleepy

skipped breakfast, and had a bowl of tomato soup, with two fried cheese 'toasties' at about 12.30, and then took the 1 PM hydrocortisone at about 1.30 (late as I was late with 'morning' dose of it) smiley - zen - just about realigned drugs for rest of day now, so will take 4 PM dose of hydrocortisone soon.

after waking, then put laundry into wash in the machine - maily socks, and cotton knickers, jeans, linen trousers, a few linen blouses that can be machine washed, a black blouse, the green blouse with the shoulder pads, and probably a few other things, that can run through the washing machine. smiley - diva

All up to date with laundry once this is done, cept for a red blouse/top that needs to be handwashed at some point.

have tried to rearrange wardrobe... not sure its right... now have it with tops to the far left, then blouses, then trousers, then leggings, then skirts, then dresses, and then babydolls, teddy's, and other err, suchlike things at the far end.

Not sure now, what to do with the rest of the day... Just haven't ever quite woken properly today < yawn>

Right. must go take 4 PM hydrocortisone, then see if the laundry is done yet, ready to sort/dry. smiley - zensmiley - diva

may have to have an early dinner... so hungry today too... - have leftover stew/casserole/curry thing to have tonight smiley - drool maybe I'll do some bulghur wheet to go with it, or rice, or... dunno... just bread and butter if I'm really lazy smiley - laughsmiley - blushsmiley - sleepy

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~

I know what you mean of wardrobe and bathrooms. Size *is* important. So only a few weeks ago I decided to turn the east wing into a walk-in closet

Side benefit: I won't have space enough for more than two guests sleeping over after this conversion smiley - ok

I think... really I should just turn the spare room into a dressing room! solution!

Jacuzi baths are a bad idea. Gunk remains in stagnant water in the pipes under the bath, a bacterial oasis. I refuse to stay in hotel rooms that feature them. Proper hot tubs and jacuzis have filters and strong chemicals to keep them clean.

smiley - yikes thanks! never thought of that smiley - zen well, of course, then there are the large tub sized ones.... err... for two people or more.... I think sometimes they're square shaped, rather than oblong smiley - weird

The possibilities, of course, are probably so big....

ahh! got it! smiley - evilgrin One bath can't possibly be enough.... at least two decent large baths, of perhaps differnt types, in two seperate bathrooms... Its the only logical answer smiley - evilgrinsmiley - silly

A Japanese style bath would be nice. Slatted wooden flooring for drainage, a stool and a bucket for cleaning yourself BEFORE getting in the bath. But I do NOT want to be communal in the bath, that's right out.
