I was watching The Ring, the modern US remake not the Korean/japanese originals, and just after the bit where she watches the video, when she gets the phone call saying she's got 7 days, my computer tried to connect it's self to the internet with no assistance on my behalf. Later, when she shows the tape to her ex, my computer once more tried to connect to the internet. It then continued to keep trying to dial up until, realising I was going to keep getting the film interupted, I closed down the DVD player...

..At which point my computer gave up trying to connect to the internet !!!!!

maybe you just have a ..... slightly broken *highly aware of profanity filter* computer?

I suspect it may be some spyware or adware doing it as it's started doing it even when I'm not watching a DVD

You could make a journal consisting of it... Just a thought. Wierd experience... I remember after watching the first the Ring, I was scared witless... The second one was rubbish, as I recall...
