I've won the lottery!!!

I won a lottery tenner today too.
But the big win was at Charlton. OK, not strictly a win, but a seriously important draw in a massively tenterhooky game. I'm getting too old for this sort of thing. What a consummate poke by the boy Stead, though.
And then, as you say, Watford next weekend and the right result might mean that the last one against Wigan needn't be cut-throat (even if it is against a team managed by a former Pig-minder).
It would be very nice if we could just acquiesce to draw, and by so doing send three rabbles of Jessies down. In fact, what a shame it can't be all four who are down there. It's not as if Fulham are exactly gracing the Premiership. And if I had my way, out would go be Tottenham, Arsenal and [retch] Chelsea too, just for being Londoners, or Frenchmen, or Muscovites or whatever.
A perfect season, indeed, would see every London club throughout the league relegated, plus Leeds, along with their repulsive, stunted, psychopathic Millwall reject. So as seasons go, this might yet turn out to be a pretty good one. Scunny and Leeds passing in opposite directions would be personally worth some serious bragging rights, just as long as the Blades stay up.
Keep buying the lottery tickets for the next couple of weeks, then. They must be a talisman.

After watching MoTD, I must first apologise to Paddy Kenny and to some extent to the rest of the Blades defence. Being as we were, at the other end of the ground, we couldn't see the subtle deflections that the ball took on its way past Paddy's outstretched right hand for their goal.
What we saw was El Karkouri running around a bit - actually a lot - and then having a clear crack on goal. What in fact happened was that his shot was way more speculative, and that the defence were just unlucky on the deflections that happened in the next second and a half.
As to the relegation battle. Well for me as an 'away Blade' there is a certain geographical consideration to be examined. The Premiership is very much a 'North West up the M6 and a bloody long way from home' sort of a league for me. Therefore the relegation from the league of London / Southern clubs comes as something of a blow as it means that I don't have away games that I can easily go to.
Watford I am sad to see go. I was actually born in a town between Watford and London, and most of my relatives on my Dad's side are Watford fans to some extent. The team this season were outclassed, out-gunned and pretty much out everythinged apart from a desire to do their level best to do their level best. I respect that and mourn their passing from this league.
Wigan for the aforementioned geographical imperatives can eff off and die as far as I'm concerned.
That leaves one out of three London clubs to take the third spot down.
My choice is Fulham: a nasty pointless little excuse of a club. Who the neighbourhood hate because having them there with all their oikish fans just pulls the property prices down.
West Ham might have some dodgy politics along the line, but they do have a passion about their club and their football (and they won England's only World Cup).
Charlton are about building a club up from their community, and about being a part of their community. I've a lot of time and respect for folk who do that.

I've just taken a look at the Championship table. And blow me, with a foul wind the Pigs could nick a play-off place
That just ain't fair. This is the first season in living memory - *including* the great 2002/03 - that the Blades have had a higher gate than the Pigs. And now they have a chance of sneeking in to the top table and attracting back all their fair-weather fans. Or more importantly of influencing yet *another* generation of Sheffield's youngsters to become snort beasts.
