Nope, I don't need to Google Bill Oddie. Not only do I know who he is, I'm an old fan of The Goodies, have visited his website many times, and oddly (or oddie) enough, he visited me in a dream over the weekend demanding to see my Goodies gear. I was shamed to only be able to produce an old album to show him. smiley - silly

You learn something new every day!smiley - biggrin The BBC finally repeated a few episodes at Christmas, although they were mostly ones already available on the one-and-only DVD.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

I really don't understand that. The Goodies were as big as Monty Python at the time, and a lot more accessible. The Goodies were on at 8.30pm, Monty Python at 10.30. Nuff said.

I've never understood it either. Mind you, the snobbery towards the series started pretty early on, and was even referenced in the shows. I love the moment at the end of one episode when Tim rubs a lamp and a genie appears in the form of John Cleese who jeeringly shouts "Kids' programme!" before being stoppered up again...

I'd love to be able to see them again. I saw they had a few episodes on YouTube. When I have some free time (yeah, right) I should go watch them.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
