I played hockey on the weekend, and during a desperate attempt to prevent us going 2-nil down I leapt over the goalie as he went down and jammed my stick into the way of an oncoming goal-bound ball. In doing so I tumbled roughly and hurt my right wrist.
Thought it was just a sprain or soft tissue injury so I carried on playing and then also played the next game.
Turned up at work on Monday, the sister sent me down to A&E and I had it x-rayed. Turns out I've gone and fractured the end of my ulna and have to wear a futura splint for two weeks!
So I'm going to be realtively quiet on h2g2 for a few weeks, or my typing is going to be even worse than normal.

Ouch you have my sympathy (i broke the elbow end of my radius a few years back) 
make sure they give you good painkillers

Shame my DNA Update didn't go through for today.
