A Conversation for Talking Point: h2g2's move to the BBC

Here's an idea...

Mrgrunt (With the Beard of Power!)

Now that h2g2 is part of the Beeb online, maybe they can extend the influence of the guide to other parts of the BBC.

I was thinking perhaps, that there could be a h2g2 section on Ceefax. With the editors choice of the day/weekend, shown on there, plus all approved guide entries of that day... It would not only introduce more people to the Guide, but also drive more traffic to BBC.co.uk...
Surely a good thing...

It would take a little work, but let's not forget our friends out there who haven't got an internet connection but could benefit from the Guide...

...Just a thought...

Fragilis - h2g2 Cured My Tabular Obsession

I think this sort of thing is generally a good idea. But it should wait until all the entries and conversations have been moderated, and things have settled down into a routine again. That could easily be a month or more from now.

I understand the BBC site also has an interesting group of poets. It would be nice for them to meet our h2g2 poets, don't you think? In the future, I can imagine a lot of alliances like these. But for now, h2g2 just need to get caught up.
