Do you realy want to know? Do you really want to know? You have to
really want to know the answer to the question if you want to find
out. The trouble is, the answer is pretty pointless. The whole point of
the book was to try to get people to stop asking questions like this.
Because if people stop asking stupid question, they might spend some
time concentrating on what is really important and forget about the
meaningless irrelevences that detract from our everyday enjoyment of
the good stuff that is out there. The world is in my opinion, too busy
looking for salt, ketchup, vinegar or soy sauce to spice up what is
already available.

Why? should I be somewhere else?

E.G. Breakfast Cereal, Aero bars, Chocolate covered rice crispy things that every well developed kid wants.

Pigeons are not red herrings. Pigeons are robots with little mice inside. Red herrings are poor substitutes for babel fish.

My best friend saved a pigeon from certain death at the hands of our coach. Does that make her some kind of omnipotent figure that I should stick around in the future, or do the mice/pigeons/red herrings now just owe her one big time?
