Hi
A former researcher has got in touch with me because they want to be able to take down their pages, but have lost the ability to do so because the pages go back before BBC ID and maybe before Single Sign-On.
They were 14 years old or so when they first joined up, and so of course the pages don't really reflect who they are now. I guess they are doing the cyber equivalent of clearing out their room and binning old clothes, toys and magazines.
What is the email address for the Italics? (Golly-gosh, I don't even know who the Italics are these days), and what information are they likely to need to give the Italics to prove who they are so the account can be deleted?

Nah, I was lying about Nighthoover.
Thanks for the help, Vip. I've emailed that address and will have to wait and see what the response is. The frustration is that it's very easy from a technical point of view - all they have to do is moderate the page. But I can see that they can't take my word for it that this random set of ones and zeros (in the email I've received) is the the same as that set of ones and zeros (in the home page on the site).
This can't be the first time it's happened though.
Cheers all
Ben

This is exactly what I'd like to do as well. Glad that someone else is in the same position.
