What's Occuring?

I've been hi-jacked to a parallel universe and I don't like it!
I'm quite happy on another message board where my writing is for that forum only. I see that you people can view my offerings at a glance, I don't even know who you are. I'm sure you are infringing my personal space. I never asked to be here, I do not want my output delivered to another forum [which I joined voluntarily] to be read by others whom I have no interest in. I wish all trace of my name and entries to be deleted from your forums. It is polite to ask whether one would like to join, and the answer is an emphatic no. I do not care for the manner in which h2g2 is conducted, so much at variance to the one I subscribe to.

We've had a few bugs here two days ago, which may be the reason that you were shown on the site's newbie list. Or you may have agreed to h2g2's terms and conditions without realising it. We only welcome people who appear on the h2g2 New Researchers list.
No offence meant, and I really don't think anyone from here will pry your conversations, as we're absolutely not interested in conversations from DNA message boards.

Cor blimey, chill out!
I don't as not an expert but supect your other place is a BBC type place and linked here by virtue of how BBC now operates things. By the way we are ok here and very friendly so are welcome to look around while here.

It's your choice, hale.
Can you tell us what it is about the manner in which h2g2 is conducted that puts you off?
I joined h2g2 from the messageboards (Radio 4 in my case) many years ago, and I think it's a great place. It has so much more to it.

I'm the <./>ACE</.> who welcomed you - I'm sorry if you felt that it was an intrusion.
Please understand that you are under no obligation to take part on any of the conversations on h2g2 - chances are that, if you had not responded no one on h2g2 would have even noticed that you are a New Researcher.
As for anyone reading your posts - as far as I know there are no "private" conversations on any of the BBC boards. All posts are open for anyone to read and respond.
Once again, apologies, but you really should have a look around, you never know, you might like what you find.

Fancy the Internet being viewable by total strangers! It should be banned.

Hells teeth is this what goes down here? If so I will offer to replace him and stand fast in the face of drinking, eating and delightful conversation.
Yep, that`s it I am new here but not to life. From what little I have read I like it here so may well move in and take up residence in the attic.

Thank you for the kind words. They are the kind I like.
I have been trawling through many of the threads and am moist pleased to see there is little animosity or indeed bad language. This I deem a good thing although there are times when an expletive can heighten a point. I wonder just how heavily the site is monitored?
Anyroadup thanks again and when I find my way around I will no doubt be posting great and deep truths which you all may ignore at your leasure.

Yes, I agree, this place is a great place - even if it is a bit at times. Most of us are civilized - then again, there's 2legs
Welcome
