Perhaps it's time to think about reinstating this A793910 ??

Hm...we did like Have You Missed but it only worked a couple of times, and then people stopped posting to it so there was nothing we could do with it. If you can think of a way we can ensure activity then we could think about it though! (We did promote it on the front page last time I think).

hmm. Well, perhaps if it ran in The Post? Or on the Front Page regularly along with the Topic of the Week?

um, if you gave editing rights over to a community member they could perhaps keep it updated regularly with votes or polls - a regular Front Page slot every Monday where people can put down their nominatons/votes.

Then on the Friday, the winning Entry (the one with the most votes/nominations) gets Front Page spot with two New EG Entries. As long as the Eds were aware of which Entry was going to the 'Have You Missed' ready for Friday's Front page (but I'm sure that's no difficult if a thread is started off the original page )

It sort of ties in with the Entry of the Week idea that surfaced a while back too

That was exactly what I thought when I read your first post, Matt.

Plus if we had the community doing it, it would save the Eds time in finding a third EG Entry to promote every day...

Any more thoughts?
