Bad science as quote of the day
Xanatic Started conversation Jun 6, 2007
I see the quote of the day for 06/06/07 is a comment about the moon turning orange in summer because it nears Mars. It is quite obvious that the little pinprick that is Mars will not be able to light up the coin-sized moon to any extent. Not to mention that the side of the moon we see lit up, is the one usually turning away from Mars. I think it would be good if you changed that quote to something else, or just removed the latter part of it.

I disagree! We'll be out in the street burning books next.

Strewth you think the moon quote could cause problems, I got "Quote Of The Day" the other day for saying I wrapped my head in tin foil and took self portraits....I have men in white coats following me, some to lock me up, the others want to put my head in an oven at 200c for 35 minutes.

Well said, Strangely Strange, it sums up what the quotes are: QUOTES, no more, no less.

Sorry - bit of a late reply to this one. We don't claim that the Quote of the Day is factually accurate. If we can get people posting by encouraging them to take photographs of their head wrapped in tinfoil, all the better!

Strewth, sounds like I might have started a new fashion here.
...... Strangely Strange sways down the catwalk in DKNY topped by tinfoil with a dash of fake white fur, to please our green posters. Mere tinfoil will be replaced by a space blanket at my next collections showing!

I´m sure the conspiracy theorists will be pleased to see new tinfoil hat fashions.
