Why does the site look like a standard bbci page when i open in my other browser? Which by the way i still haven't been able to log-in and set cookies for it so i'm not posting much at the mo!
Distantly,

Can you describe the way the pages look now? It could just be Brunel (Is there a coloured bit at the top with tiny rivets in the corners?) or maybe you are accessing a different DNA site (The Hub looks a bit like standard BBCi, doesn't it?)

Yes, it looks like the cookie isn't being recognised from this other browser, so therefore it's in Brunel. Although one way to check, are you actually logged in when you view it using this other browser - can you make a post?

So therefore it's definitely not recognising you, so you're seeing Brunel, the new default skin. If you want to read it without being able to log in, you can always change the url to classic yourself.
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U132645 will go to Goo, or http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/U132645 will go to alabaster - but note if you click on those links you'll still get Brunel, although if you copy and paste it into your browser you'll get it in that skin.)
