Hiya!
I'm the author of the London Underground - The Circle Line entry, and I think that you've done a great job in editing my entry!
Just a small question though:
How come you've taken the picture of Paddington Stn out of the 'changing lines' section? I'm not sure that the Hammersmith to circle line section makes much sence now without the picture as it did make some reference to it; I thought that it would make it much clearer of the distance to walk between lines... Would it be possible to have the picture back, but without the shadow of Paddington Bear?
Stay ,
WD

Hi WD!
Picture blobs can only be put into an Edited Entry by the itallics so your Subbie had to take it out - even if it did make sense.
Of course, your comments here may help to sway them toward putting it back. We'll just have to wait and see...
Enjoy a nice while you wait. I've always found it to be helpful when thinking about the h2g2 editorial process!

BTW: You could post something of the same comment to the entry's forums under the heading picture suggestion. It might be a bit easier for them to find when the time comes...

Hi Witty Ditty,
It was actually me that took the pictures out. We do this because it affects the time it takes for an Entry to load if there's lots of pictures in it. If the Entry is lucky enough to get a custom-made picture of its own, especially created by our in-house artist, it appears at the top, on the right-hand side.
I re-wrote that section that made reference to Paddington so that the picture wouldn't be required. In any case, I don't think that either the Hammersmith and City Line or the Circle Line are at the end of that particular platform, which is a main-line NR platform - a bit of 'freedom of fact' there, maybe... Besides, it looks a bit odd with Paddington Bear's shadow there as well.
Actually, reading it again, what I've written is still not quite right in its stand-alone version, so I'll nip back in and tweak it a little more...
Great entry, by the way - meticulous researching!

I only came here because when all my conversations on my page show up "no replies" I go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/info to see where it's at. I thought you might like to read the wonderful entry by Ashley on Paddington Bear's London while on the subject......

It's lovely.
Of course, if you've written an entry on Paddington Station you will have probably seen it anyway.
See you around

- I see you have a link to it in your Circle Line entry.
In the process I had a very enjoyable prowl around your personal space. Thank you.
