Ok, first off, socialism and communism are not the same thing. Third off, censorship and socialism do not go hand and hand. Seventh point, if the swat team is after you, then they likely have a good reason.
See, what most of you capitalist dogs (j/k) don't realize is that you aren't worried about communism or socialism, but a dictatorship. I am a socialist. I advocate communism because there are more people who can't afford a limousine than people who can. I mean that there is a serious difference between the poor caste that can barely afford food, and the rich ones who have more money than they could ever spend. Incidentally, I am also disgusted by the plethora of completely useless garbage people are peddling today, and believe that it is the fault of this capitalism that such atrocities such as the media and censorship come about, I'll explain.
Right now, the media peddles to the, say it with me, lowest common denominator. Because that'll make them money. On television, everything is sensationalism. It's all transparently melodromatic, idiotic, and no single frame will remain for more than a couple seconds on any given television show. Newspapers have become havens of intolerance and complete idiocy, where people write in to complain about the minorities in their neighbourhoods and claim that no person under the age of 30 should drive cars. It is here where censorship is born. People are afraid to have controversial ideas in their media substances, because that could lead to a boycott, or a fall in sales. fall in sales=less money, which is bad. They censor they're programs to make sure nobody will have a problem with it, so more people will advertise on their station.
You talked about a senario where everyone makes 500,000 dollars per year. An astronomical amount. My parents were and are social workers, and they take their work home with them every night. They are on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. They don't get to stop working. They don't get paid that much. Why should you work your ass of to get paid the same as another person? Well, ask that person's opinion of the work you do. Lets say, a doctor and a janitor. Why should they get paid the same? Well, they wouldn't, for one thing. In an ideal socialism, everyone is paid a sum on which they can live, buy a house and food, and other necessities. Then they get money to blow on k-tel products and faithhealers, or whatever the hell they want, from WORKING. Research the philosophy of the economic structure you're reporting on. Be back tomorrow.

In my opinion this text takes a to big an issue to be covered in just a few pages. All is does is - according tó myself - showing us some of the more popular prejudices about comminism and socialism. I must agree with "Clarke" in the opinion that one should do a bit more reserch before attempting to write something like this.
I must say though that I think it´s a very good essay in both language and clarity so I understand why you´ve been gettin such good rewievs. (exuse my extremly poor english, it´s not my native language).

You really don't know what you're talking about (the guy who wrote the original article) I'm afraid. Its because of people like you who think they know it all when it comes to socialism, marxism, communism etc but really don't that it gets such a bad name.
My ideal society would not involve money in any way shape or form so there is no point argueing with you over pay issues. I also find you're attitude of "if everyone has a gun we'll all be safe rather amusing considering that everyday this is proved to be utterly incorrect. Although to tell the truth I wouldn't mind an AK-47 myself, ahh the oiled walnut stock, the reliable action, the direct shift from safe to full auto, the piles of smoking, bullet ridden nazi corpses!!! (I'm actually from britain but I have a love of all weaponry, particularly swords.) For the real deal on socialism and true marxist theory visit "the kalashnikov party needs you" on the guide. Flaggelate you're evil capitalist values away!!!
