Hallo ox! Meet Gandalf. We're going to need the other two 'dales for harness work, but Titania was so smitten with them that I have brought in a third one for her. It's a good idea to have a relief wagon horse anyway.

Hi, Lil! Titania will look quite lovely on Gandalf. *ox pats the beautiful Clydesdale* What sort of harness work are you thinking of for your fine 'dales?

Well, we have a farm next door to provide hay, oats, carrots and all, and these fellows will be needed to plow, harrow, pull the wagon that brings hay and feedstuffs ... and do hay rides!

Horses are generally pretty charismatic, but these guys are really something.

Hay rides! What fun! Horses are wonderful to watch. I find it relaxing just watching them graze. You allow them their nobility here and you also have created a perfect place for a peaceful walk. Thanks, Lil, for introducing me to Gandalf. If you don't mind, I'll visit again!

ox, you are welcome any time. We have horses available for people who want to go out on rides, escorted or solo.

Bluebottle, it is done. You are now official Gnu Wrangler for BSEC. Apart from generally looking after the herd, I hope you can provide us with a set of bulls for the rodeo, when we eventually have one. Those horns are sharp, so I guess we ought to cover the ends with smileys...

*rides her bicycle from the Atelier to BSEC*

*brings apples--one for herself, and some for horses, as she always did when she went to riding school *

*walks over to the boxes and pets Shamrock . . . I have a proclivity for chestnuts *

*feeds Shamrock an apple*

*goes to tack room, leaves Lil a calling card, and gets a currycomb and brush to make Shamrock all shiny*

*Kathy asks a groombot to saddle Shamrock--English style as I've never ridden Western--mounts, and goes down the trail at a fast walk, following the hoofprints going towards the gnu herd.*
