Are they legally allowed to tell you anything if there is no power of attorney already? Drop everything and get to a ferry port.
Don't bother replying individually to any of us but know you are in our thoughts and use us to unload anything you like. With very best wishes and thumbs held.

She was discharged yesterday afternoon after having had a final check of blood pressure.
She was seen home by some nice ladies who stopped to shop for milk and bread on the way, and went in with her, checked she was warm and put the kettle on and stayed for a bit. The neighbour was there and she rang me (I was at work, she spoke to my husband who relayed everything to me). My sister had managed to pick up my e-mails and rang me (from Guadeloupe!). She later phoned Mum at home.
So everything is back to normal, but we are all on edge.

The nurses at the hospital and the receptionist at the doctor's have been quite open with me. Actual test results they were not allowed to disclose, but general information was forthcoming.
I shall ring the doctor's next to see if they have had a report from the hospital.

A doctor from the medical centre soon got back to me. She said that Mum hadn't picked up her repeat prescription since August, so no wonder she was having trouble with blood pressure again. The hospital had given her some to go on with and put her on a double dose. Whilst we were talking she printed out a prescription ready, and I shall go to the dispensary with her when I'm there next week to fetch them.
At least that's something to go on.

Oh,athat might explain it all. Maks me think, I stopped taking my blood pressure tablets a month or so ago, as I appesred to be suffering muscle problems. Going for checks Tuesday and will have to confess
Hope your Mum goes on ok.

I just spent 4 days with her. Everything seems fine. But as we don't know what started her little turn off, there's no guarantee it won't come back.
Worrying.
