3+2+(sqr(4)/8)x8=42
SQR means square root. You seem to have mistaken it for 'square' i.e. to the power of 2.
2^2=4 => sqr(4)=2
There's a typo in my formula nevertheless:
wrong: 3+2+(sqr(4)/8)+8=42
right: (3+2+(sqr(4)/8))x8=42
