It's 3.33 Christmas morning. There's yet another snow storm on the street, the sound is impressive. So is the amount of snow, I suppose.
Well, we don't expect much more than 30 cm, but with all that wind there may be meter high drifts...
I should sleep now. The worst that could happen is a power cut.
Other than that I have been busy with various health issues. And thinking may hurt. It usually does. 
didn't bring me a new head either.

living in interesting times ..
I managed to stay away from snow or ice. My car however was in the middle of it. and I was in it. for some time.
next winter I may consider winter tyres

they just made winter tyres the law here
when there are winter conditions - and then failed to specify exactly what that would be, and to specify 4mm tread and left it at the regular tread depth.
totally mad.

tell me about it. if i had a good tail wind i could slide all the way to my office. nothing but ice here now

last night it was cold, after a not-so-cold day. Now the streets are covered with ice. There's no more salt in the country, just like last winter and just like last winter the municipalities all agree that someone should take action to prevent that ("someone"??? .. "prevent what"? these are some of the issues they couldn't agree on all through last year).
my backyard has still some snow .. and there are half meter high snow mountains in the front yard

municipality stopped clearing our road. then the refuse collector told us "since your road isn't cleared we can't collect your refuse" 
it's a catch 42 situation
