Something weird is going on on my street. There're strange noises and someone hit my window, twice even. Nothing happened, the glass still holds but I must admit I'm scared. So much of a quiet night and long sleep...

If it happens again, maybe you should call the police.

Police here doesn't really react on complaints like this. Besides there's a minor blizzard out there, so they possibly can't come out.

Oh yes, I have a dog. A Scottish terrier.

The good thing about having a dog in the house is that they'll let you know if someone is messing around outside. I'm glad you have one.

I have a small dog, too. She isn't big enough to scare anyone, but she is mouthy and always barks when someone is in my yard. And speaking of her, I need to go fix her supper.

The thing is my window opens directly on the street. So my dog only barks if something is very wrong. And by then I can hear it myself already.
Maybe I should just hope for the best and ignore the noise. By the sound of it someone is having a fistfight with a trash can. Odd, really...

Is there a lot of wind with the storm? Maybe part of the noise is storm related.

Naah, not storm, just a minor blizzard. The sounds are definitely of human origin. By now they've moved a bit up the street. *crosses fingers*

Yep, all fine though sleepy.
At 4.40 I heard glass clattering but I am not sure if I wasn't dreaming and my windows were all okay anyway. I haven't been on the street yet, so I don't know if there's anything interesting to see.

Good indeed. I have had my window smashed couple times in my life and this is always a huge disaster. Houseplants dying and all that.

Ah well, it's daytime now.
Next time when I'll move I'll better to get a flat higher than ground level.
