Oh yes, it's a quiet place because after the down-time called Rupert, almost all German contents were hidden, pending moderation. The whole thing went to sleep, so to speek. There *is* something going on to get those postings back and there's also something in the making to officially *allow* German postings. However, it appears to be arduous (given the fact that moderation depends on human resources, tools and whatnot). See Transvolvania at A617320 and the report at A698817.

As things are right now, the volunteers are standing at the ready, but the infrastructure (nice word, eh?) is not yet there.

I haven't done much to the GerManiaConnection for the last year. It was difficult after Rupert to establish who had come back and where, as many people signed in new and changed their identities. Now it would involve a huge amount of research and checking of links.

I'd like to address Yahoo as 'the Minefield'. Spiced with cookie booby traps and sticky advert bombs which attach to all the postings. And every once in a while there's the engineer -disguised as a plumber- to reload the whole thing
