A Conversation for 'The Epic of Gilgamesh' - a Cycle of Poems
Inaccuracy

I found a couple of errors in your guide entry:
first of all, when Gilgamesh and Enkidu first encountered each other in the streets of Uruk after Gilgamesh had lured him via the prostitute, they engaged in a fierce wrestling match in wich one countered the other's assails blow for blow and it culminated in a draw, exausted, each realized that he had met his match.A fast friendship then ensued. They were not instant commrads.
Secondly, The Ancient Sumerians used the reed stylus to create the wedge-shaped cunieform characters in a wet clay tablet that was dried
in the sun, preserved from time immemorial surviving through the millennia, as is evidenced in our museums. They did not write on wax, as this would last neither epochs nor aeons nor periods nor ages, if even decades, as the clay tablets have.
Good choice of topic and A for effort but you should fix these incongruities.

There are numerous other mistakes..
i will start a new threat to cover them I think
Also, remember, the term "Prostitute" or "harlot" is often used when translating the word for the Priestesses of Inanna or Ishtar (in the case of the Babylonian or Assyrian versions).. but that gives a very innacurate sense of their role.
Key: Complain about this post
