There will be meet!
But whether it will be a full blown full scale massive Hootoo Meet or just a mini meet is up to YOU!
I am trying to fly to Manchester for a few days in September or maybe October because I need to see Pastey's new brewery and because I forgot to drink the last with Ann and Phil the last time I was there (June 2014).
What do you say? An at Port Street Beer House and later maybe The Crown & Kettle - and a fry-up the next day at The Font (oh please tell me these places still exist! )?

A p*ss-up in Pastey's brewery? Sounds good. If I'm not on holiday, as planned some time in September, I'll try and make it. I've never been to Manchester.

I'd love to go back to Manchester but I just don't think this will be the year for another trip abroad. We're changing contracts so all my accrued Paid Time Off will be paid out by check next month and I'll have to accrue PTO for another year before I feel I have a comfortable buffer in case of emergent issues requiring time off.

I like to have at least two weeks beyond the time I might take off, so that's a month of time I'll need to save up. So, another year plus probably.

Was there an official Meet Announcement page?

I think 2legs had a page or thread that was sort of an unofficial place to suggest and coordinate for meets.

I tried to search for a Meet page and most of the official announcements were done on the official Announcements page.


I vaguely remember a meet up thread but I can't remember if it was under its own guide entry or just a thread of 2legs'.

It's possible I could make it - a bit earlier and I would actually be relatively close, as it is, it depends on whether I have got my job!
