We were just discussing that ad over on Facebook, Jim. Most people agreed they didn't go to a Star Wars film with Jedi knights to see people praying

I never figured out why people would imagine Jedi Knights to be a religious movement, on this planet at least. The story took place long ago and far away, so the Jedi Knights are probably long dead by now.

Well......
I've been aware that a lot of "Star Wars" plot points have been covered outside the actual movies themselves, through fan fiction, games, and other means. Ordinary moviegoers like me have obviously been left behind, which may not be a bad thing if it leaves us open to exploring other movies and their associated realms.
Some movies are adaptations of books, grtaphic novels, plays/musicals, or even video games. Others are original to the screen, but might be based on true events, particularly if they are documentaries.
Film critics have to see pretty much everything that comes out. I don't envy them, as some of it has got to be pretty dismal . I sometimes think that film critics, as a group, are kind of crazy, but I sympathize, as that seems an occupational hazard .
