While she slept it off yesterday I had a new water pipe installed instead of the old and rusty that threatened to explode any moment The municipality was kind enough to dig up the pavement for me and my plumber

Colleagues are invited to attend my informal reception in "the navy room", my favourite local, this afternoon, after that both auntie Daisy and I can relax for a while

...speaking of graffiti, given an authentic "Kilroy was here" graffito I could reasonably and legally do it with (I believe there's one preserved at the great pyramid of Cheops, a strict hands off item), I'd take the time to lift it and transfer it to canvas...

How cold is it where you are, Pierce? Here in Boston, we have daytime highs in the thirties F, but overnight it can get much colder [last night it was 15. That's 17 degrees below freezing].

We've had very little snow this winter. What precipitation we get is usually rain during the warmer spells.
