That's going to happen here in Boston too, as a hurricane is likely to pass within 150 miles of us tomorrow. You lot will get the same hurricane next week, so watch for it. smiley - evilgrin

hm, yes, we seem to have this tendency of inheriting the left overs of your bad weather smiley - erm

but usually we pass them on to our neighbours to the east, like sweden and estonia smiley - evilgrin

I climbed a 1000 ft hill yesterday, well the bus got me most of the way, but the I sat on the grass and got a rash from nasty insects after my blood. smiley - run

The grass isn't as lush in those months, Pierce.

I must I admit that smiley - envy you the weather. Here in the Far North we've had autumn for weeks smiley - sadface This morning it was 6C when I left for w*rk, but at least it was sunny.

It's cold indoors as well. Guess I'd better take out my down winter duvet from storage and put it in my bed. The Lair Cats are not entirely trustable as heat sources smiley - biggrin

There should still be about 17 more days of summer.

depends on how you define summer, paulh. meteorological, geographical, temporal, pythonesque...

I was talking about the Equinox, when days and nights are the same length. There was a movie called "500 Days of Summer," in which a young man fell in love with a girl named Summer. The affair lasted 500 days. Apart from those two senses of the word "summer," what other definitions are there?

Summer is when it is bright and warm. The rest of the time is for drinking and sleeping. smiley - sleepysmiley - run
