We had our Christmas Dinner at about 5 - the traditional Irish turkey and ham. El cooked the ham, I did the turkey and Mrs G did the veggies (being a vegetarian). Iz iced the cake. My stepmother, N, brought the pudding. We had a long leisurely dinner, being finished at about 8:30. My father and N went home at about 9, and we watched Doctor Who. Then we got out the Wii that I gave Mrs G for Christmas, and we've been playing ever since. Bowling, tennis, boxing, and now Mario Kart.

Happy Christmas to all hootoo Researchers all over the world.
I hope everybody managed to follow the Gnomon family's example and snatch at least a few idyllic Christmassy hours and eat too much and get/give some really good presents.

You can now hammer your family and friends with virtual pain? What a social advance.
Happy Boxing Day as they call it across the pond.

Sounds like you had a good time Gnomon, we did too. The Wii is something of a saviour for Christmas afternoons for us too Our lunch is at 1.30 so we have a clear afternoon before we travel home.
As we are half way through Boxing Day I will just wish you a peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year.

And an Irish Christmas greeting to you too. Two of the people I love best in the world are under three years old - just the right age to appreciate Santa. They live in Dublin - so that's where I'm having a super holiday

The two year old grandson couldn't really understand it. He thought it was everyone's birthday. It was Happy Burfday Kissmas?
